8 Days Chimpanzee Tracking Safari

This tour will take you to the following National parks i.e Murchison Falls, & Queen Elizabeth National Parks.
The activities will include (but not limited to); game drives, a visit to the top of the falls, boat trips along the Nile to the bottom of the Falls, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking, chimp tracking, Boat trip on Kazinga Channel, game viewing especially of the tree climbing lions.

Day 01: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will be picked from the Airport or your hotel, drive south west through Nakasongola, Masindi to reach the park in the afternoon. You may have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the white rhinos, have lunch at the sanctuary. On reaching the park you will drive to the top of the falls to see how the calm Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge,and in the end explodes into the falls. After this, you will transfer to your lodge. Overnight at the Lodge/camp.

Day 02:  Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
After an early morning breakfast, depart for a sunrise game drive on the northerly parts of the park along in the paraa section. It is at this time that the Big Cats are active on their daily hunts. We will drive around in search for Leopards, Lions, Hyenas, Uganda Kobs and other wildlife, return to the lodge for lunch. At 2pm, take a boat cruise to the bottom of the mighty falls. you will see the Hippos, crocodiles, elephants and other animals, as well as a variety of bird species, European migrant birds like the terns and gulls congregate here in large flocks. Overnight at the Lodge/camp.

Day 03:  Transfer to Fort Portal
After an early morning breakfast, depart from Murchison Falls N.P with Lunch en route to Fort Portal. Visit the YAWE Project- a local community project and make community tourism part of your safari. Dinner and over night at the hotel.

Day 04 : Chimp Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will proceed to Kibale Forest National Park, for chimpanzee tracking in the forest with a highest concentration of primates in Uganda.  Afternoon, visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary to interact with the community. Dinner & Overnight at  the Lodge/Camp.

Day 05 : Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a lot of sightseeing enroute, like a clear view of the western arm of the rift valley plus its associated features such as Lake George, and Edward, mountains of the moon and kyambura escarpment. Visit the Katwe traditional works to see the salt rock then head to the lodge for check-in and lunch. Afternoon at 2pm, take a launch trip on kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George, during this launch trip , you will be able to see a pool of hippos, herds of elephants, and lots of wildlife, and birds. Dinner & Overnight at the lodge.

Day 06 : Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Amorning wake up call for an early morning breakfast. Our morning safari of Queen Elizabeth National park starts around 6:30am. We depart for a sunrise game drive on the northerly parts of the park along the Kasenyi track. Remember, it is at this time that the Big Cats are active on their daily hunts. We will drive around the crater Lakes in search of Leopards, Lions, Hyenas, Uganda Kobs and other wildlife.After the drive, return for lunch and relaxation at the lodge. Later in the afternoon, drive to the crater region where you will take a hike to the craters as you enjoy the beautiful scenery. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Ishasha Sector – Tree Climbing Lions
After breakfast, depart to ishasha sector, in the afternoon take a game drive in ishasha plains in search of the tree climbing lions lazily lying on the fig trees. You may also see leopards, herds of buffaloes, elephants, antelopes and lots of savannah birds. Dinner and Overnight the Lodge/Camp.

Day 8:  Ishasha – Departure
After breakfast at the Lodge/Camp, visit the  river gurgling nearby and see morning birds chirping away, in the distance some animals are moving away.  Have another drive through the Ishasha Plains taking another look and last look at the tree climbing lions and the abundance of wildlife found in that part of the park, as you drive back to Kampala and you will be transferred to your hotel or the Airport to take your flight back.
